Inspiration in the community

The main backbone of our concerts are those performed at The Sage Gateshead with The Northern Sinfonia and at Leeds Town Hall with The Orchestra of Opera North. These happen three times a year at the end of each term. But as well as these we also sing a lot for the community. We work with school choirs and sing for local charities. We sing at award ceremonies and switch on Christmas lights. We sing at weddings, in hospitals and, well, wherever we can.

Last year we raised money for BBC Children in Need with our Big Christmas Sing at Ripon Racecourse, where we had over 600 singers performing, including the Hallelujah Chorus. We also had our own pantomime horse race.

We have performed twice for the Yorkshire Women of Achievements Awards, and are very proud of our involvement in such a moving and powerful event.

We sing regularly at the Bexley Wing at Jimmy’s Hospital in Leeds, recently raising £2500 towards the purchase of a grand piano so the cancer patients can enjoy music and singing on a more regular basis.

Wherever we sing, we love the feeling of sharing our passion for singing.
